SANCTUARY OF TAO STAFF
Patrick Gross,Ā main instructor, tech support, and administrator of the Sanctuary of Tao, started learningĀ Tai Chi from Stuart in 1992. He became Stuartās primary student (Da Shi Xiong) in 2000. Patrick has been working for the last thirty years to preserve and present the teachings Stuart learned from Master Liang and other notable teachers. One of those efforts has been co-authoring with Stuart theĀ Tai Chi ChangesĀ book.
Suzanne NoskoĀ started studying with Stuart in 2017, and then in 2019, moved to Phoenix, Arizona to further her studies with him and to work with Sanctuary of Tao. Currently,Ā the Spanish translator and artist for the Sanctuary of Tao, she recently completed with Stuart theĀ Scripture on Tao and Virtue (Tao De Jing): Escritura Sobre Tao y VirtudĀ (Valley Spirit Arts, 2019),Ā including creating the cover art. As an RN, she brings a unique medical understanding to the health aspects of Taoism.
Lily Romaine Shank,Ā coordinator of programs and outreach, read one of Stuartās books in 2007 and moved to Phoenix from Minneapolis, Minnesota to study with him. Her main focuses are cultivating health, mindfulness, and compassion through Taoism.
MisoĀ is the master of relaxed alertness and active-non-action at the Sanctuary of Tao. She doesn't do much all day long, yet everything around her gets done. She inspires us with the way she follows her Tao of sincerity, gentleness, and silence (except when she wants a treat).
